Advisor: Zachary Fields
Purpose: The Art Club is for
students who wish to pursue the visual arts for exploring ideas and
media, personal growth, and school/community service beyond the
classroom. Art Club offers a studio environment that encourages
cooperation and invention. The club is open to all students, even those
not currently in an art class.
Activities and pursuits: Students may participate in club/group projects such as an Empty Bowl Project
which clay bowls filled with soup are sold to raise funds for a local
soup kitchen. A student may elect to work on a personal project, such as
learning to use the potter's wheel. Activities change each year.
Meeting times: Tentatively - Thursdays after school (will determine once activities are posted as to minimize conflicts).
Other information: While students are encouraged to attend regularly, Art Club is open to and welcomes students at any time.
